Internet users has manifested a new kind of Pop virus with the name called Price Companion Ads.
The pop displays itself by showing various types of fake shopping ads and
discount coupons. It restrict users to open some legitimate webpages from
opening. It easily take advantage of security vulnerabilities for its
infiltration. It adds its JavaScript to a web page and if server access the
compromised websites, they get confused with Price Companion Ads
messages.
Price Companion Ads immediately shows its malicious traits such
as automatic redirection of webpages to irrelevant websites, showing continuous
pop ups and ads, tracking cookies, mounting of strange webpages, as well as
triggering keyloggers and keystrokes to record confidential information of
users such as their username, passwords, bank account details etc. It exploits
security vulnerabilities and installs aggressive browser malware. It
automatically alters several internal settings which badly damages the overall
PC performance. Thus, it is recommended to uninstall Price Companion Ads
immediately.
